Homeostasis

For most systems to be healthy, it wants to achieve a state which is called homeostasis - balance.

Our system is currently is not in balance, and as the system seeks to balance itself, striving toward better health, it undoubtedly will upset some.

The United States is a country which has plenty, and as the global world seeks to rebalance itself, undoubtedly, the United States will experience some loss. Television and the Internet serves to interconnect the world.

I urge you to look at the big picture. What happen to our body if some cells in the body have excess while others starve to death? Either way, we don't have a healthy body. However, in sharing, the starved cells get healthier, and as a whole, the organism gets better. Most cells, fortunately, have this wisdom. However, now and then, we have a cancer cell, multiplying itself, while starving the other cells, and what happens, the organism gets sick and might even die from it.

Nature has a way to delicately convey this message to us. We are like cells within the universe. Each is unique and has its functions. Are we wise enough as our cells to share our energy, our resources to maintain a healthy universe? This is the challenge for us - not just to have better health for ourselves, but also better health for our universe. The universe, after all, is a living entity. Take care of it and it will take care of us.
